Prerequisites |
Should be
confident executing all of the Mambo Level 1
syllabus at club speed music. Women must be able to perform a stable double
right spin. Men must be able to lead confidently and on time a range of basic
turn patterns. |

Summary |
Each
class or group of classes is designed to introduce a new skill or further
improve already acquired skills. The Level
2 class has no ridged syllabus since members of the class are expected to
already have a firm grasp of the core techniques and footwork of the dance. The
classes are structured so that a variety of topics are addressed dependant
upon members needs. Each topic will be taught over a number of consecutive
weeks and then revisited as needs be. Topics
include, multiple axial spin variations, multiple pivot turns, quick
direction change, unusual drop and catches, lead/follow drills, posture and
balance, partner connection, body isolations, etc. Basic
class structure would be: Turn
patterns taught are compact and challenging focusing on 1 or 2 key elements
each class. Shines are taught individually and also in the context of a
routine. Class
size is limited to 16 |
